Accomplice by Kristi Lea

Accomplice by Kristi Lea

All FBI agent Noah Grayson wants is to uncover the mastermind of a blackmail plot that touches the nation's highest ranking politicians. All the clues lead straight to Jessica's late husband, who died under suspicious circumstances. Though his instincts tell him that that the beautiful model is no criminal, he can't help but wonder how much she knew about her dead husband's business dealings.

Then a diamond necklace with ties to the blackmailer is stolen from the Kingsbury mansion, and Jessica begins receiving death threats. She must decide whether she can trust the handsome agent with her secrets and her life, not to mention her heart.

This was a good book. I enjoyed the relationship between Jessica and Noah all the way through. There was never really a dull moment between the two! I thought the story was fun and a little different. I think it could have had more action, but it was still a good read.

Barbecue and Bad News by Nancy Naigle

Barbecue and Bad News by Nancy Naigle

Savannah Dey politely agreed to attend her ex-husband’s wedding, but she’d be grateful for any reason to get out of it…which is why the speeding ticket from the handsome sheriff of Adams Grove is both a surprise and a reprieve. He’s done making bad choices, and this beautiful city gal is sure to leave Adams Grove once she finishes her story. By the time she’s stirred up a hornet’s nest, he’s already falling for her. Will trouble bind them together, or will her secrets tear them apart?

This book was FANTASTIC!!! I absolutely loved every minute of it. The story line is great. Who would not love stopping in a small town and falling in love with the sheriff, town and all the people?

From start to finish, I was laughing, crying and yelling! I felt every emotion from every character. Nancy Naigle really knows how to write in a way that brings the reader into the story!

The cover was not exciting in my opinion. I almost did not read this book because of the cover, but I decided to read it anyway and boy was I happy that I did!!

This book was great! Each story was the perfect size, not too long, not too short. I tried to decide which one was my favorite and that was just not going to happen, I loved them all!

This is an excellent book to read while you are stuck in the house during a blizzard. Grab a cup of hot chocolate, a blanket and snuggle up in front of the fire with this book and I promise, you will love it!!

SEAL's Honor by Elle James

SEAL's Honor by Elle James

SEAL Reed Tucker doesn’t believe in commitment, until he tangles the sheets with one hot pilot, Delaney O’Connell. His phobia against commitment is challenged when his best friend asks Delaney to marry him first.

As a helicopter pilot for the 160th Night Stalkers, Delaney knows the risks of loving a SEAL. When her lover's friend loses an arm in battle, she can’t refuse his marriage proposal when he's already lost so much. In love with one man, pledged to marry another, she’s torn.
Tuck and Delaney must come to grips with the happiness they owe themselves and the happiness of their friend who has lost so much.

Well, this book was certainly  different. Generally there is a man and woman who are the focal point of the book. This book had two men after the same woman. There was a little adventure and a little romance but nothing overly spectacular. This would be a good rainy/snowy day read when you just want to get away from your life.

Held Against You by Season Vining

This notorious bounty hunter, with his stunning good looks and powerful instincts, never fails to capture his prey. But there’s something about his newest mark that gets under his skin–and it’s not just the naked innocence he sees in her eyes. As they drive across the country together, neither of them can deny the spark of attraction between them. Will their journey force these two passionate opposites together…or will their dangerous secrets be too much to bear?

This was an excellent book. I really enjoyed this book. The majority of this book takes place in a car but it is so well written that it never got boring. I wish there had been a little more action in the end but other than that, I found it very fun and entertaining.

I'll Show You Mine by Lauren Gallagher

I'll Show You Mine by Lauren Gallagher

When Alyssa Warren meets Shane McNeill at a wedding, sparks fly. Despite a litany of mistakes no one will let her forget, she can’t resist indulging in one hot night…one that leaves her hungry for more.

Alyssa’s not ready to let her past scare Shane off, though, so she proposes a casual arrangement—live in the moment, no discussing ancient history.

Shane’s on board with that. No-strings, kinky sex with a beautiful woman who has no interest in his past—and with a libido that matches his own? Hell yeah. If she knew about the monster mistakes he’s made, she’d run for the hills, so he’s all for enjoying this wild ride for as long as it lasts.

As they delve deeper into each other’s kinks, though, it’s only a matter of time before trust and intimacy start entangling their hearts. But before a future can take shape, they’ll have to come clean…and hope their confessions don’t drive them apart.

This book is a little different from my usual books. There is more sex than story in this book. Don't get me wrong, it is very well written and is a good book but I would have liked to have more story to it.The characters were good and all in all, it was a fun read.

Snowbound in Montana by C.J. Carmichael

Snowbound in Montana by C.J. Carmichael

When Eliza Bramble signs up for a Christmas mountain ski adventure with sexy mountain guide Marshal McKenzie, she’s looking to escape the attention of a two-timing charmer and find some inner peace. Instead, a blizzard traps her in a remote mountain hideaway with Marshall and two other families in need of their own Christmas miracles.

Christmas is looking like a write-off, until Marshall suggests they make the best of what they have, and work together. The avid outdoorsman has a special touch with people…and with Eliza in particular. Soon she realizes Marshall isn’t just fixing Christmas — but her broken heart, too.

Marshall has stolen my heart! I am in love with him and would marry him in a heartbeat! This story is very heartwarming! The way it was written is different. The majority of this book, they are stuck in or around a ski lodge and yet, it was still exciting. That tells me alot.

Too Hot to Handle by Katie Rose

Too Hot to Handle by Katie Rose

Nikki Case is no fan of baseball. Her ex gambled away a fortune on the sport, and now her PR firm has tasked her with cleaning up the league’s most notorious bad boys. The New Jersey Sonics are known for wild womanizing and booze-fueled brawls, so Nikki expects the worst. Her first stop in the battle to win hearts and minds is star hitter Jake Baldwin—a legendary ladies man so smokin’ he threatens to melt her tough-girl armor.

Although his teammates prank her without mercy, Jake admires the way Nikki gives as good as she gets. She may be the queen of frost, but there’s kindling beneath those sultry curves—and he’s just the man to ignite it. But when a PR nightmare lands the Sonics in headlines across the country, Nikki is ready to walk. Only then does Jake realize how important she is to the Sonics’ success—and that winning the love of a good woman is no game.

This book is great! Nikki is a great, take charge character that I can look up to. Jake is a typical jock. I am not generally a fan of sports books but this one was cute and I did enjoy reading it. I will be reading it again!

Playing Santa by H.Y. Hanna

Playing Santa by H.Y. Hanna

Holly stopped believing in Santa Claus long ago... until a house-sitting vacation in Australia rekindles the magic of Christmas. When she rescues a litter of abandoned puppies and meets a handsome veterinarian who captures her heart, she finds herself tempted to give up everything for a chance at love.

The last thing billionaire Dr Nick Forrester expected when helping out at the animal hospital was to meet this pretty American. He knows that they belong together - but with malicious gossip and culture clash coming between them, can he convince Holly that all he wants for Christmas is her?

This book was very cute. Nothing like animals to bring two people together! This book has romance and comedy, the puurfect mix! There is a spider scene in this book that is beyond hilarious and is very memorable! It creeped me out, but I will always remember it, so that says alot for this book!
