Time Served by Julianna Keyes

Time Served by Julianna Keyes

I’ve never forgotten how it felt to follow Dean—dangerous, daring, determined—away from the crowd and climb into his beat-up old Trans Am. I was sixteen and gloriously alive for the first time. When I felt his hand cover my leg and move upward, it was over. I was his. Forever.

Until I left. Him, my mom, and the trailer park. Without so much as a goodbye.

Now Dean’s back, crashing uninvited into my carefully cultivated, neat little lawyerly life. Eight years behind bars have turned him rougher and bigger—and more sexually demanding than any man I’ve ever met. I can’t deny him anything…and that just might end up costing me everything.

This book was not one of my favorites although I do not know why. Parts of it were good, parts of it were not. I was not really thrilled with the characters, nothing was believable and I was not lost in this book. All in all, I was pretty disappointed with it, but it was not horrible.

Special Delivery by Laura Browning

Special Delivery by Laura Browning

All Holly Morgan wants is a safe place to have her baby. Nestled deep within the Blue Ridge Mountains, miles away from her abusive ex-fiancé, Spence, Mountain Meadow seems perfect. Holly can manage a few meddling church matrons if it means Spence can't find her. Harder to handle is Jake Allred. He may be a dark-haired hunk, but he's also someone Holly can't trust: a cop.

Since his time in the military, Lieutenant Jake Allred has lived to protect and serve. And if anyone needs protection, it's Holly. Having been let down by the law before, she's wary of letting Jake into her life. But when an unexpected snow storm strands them together, their attraction is hot enough to melt the mounting ice. Just when Jake thinks he's finally warmed Holly's heart, Spence strikes. Now it's up to Jake to save Holly's baby and bring their fledgling family back together.

I thought this book was adorable. Very sweet and lovey. Very much a romance. There was some mystery and suspense which helped round out this book and make it amazing. I loved all of the characters and the story.

This book is perfect for a rainy or snowy day. I just snuggled up on the couch with a cup of hot chocolate and enjoyed this read.

His Last Redemption by Clarissa Yip

His Last Redemption by Clarissa Yip

Lauren Burke waited fifteen months and twenty-three days for her divorce to be finalized. Instead, her ex-husband went one step further—he turned up dead. And the detective working on the case is none other than Kane Hollister—the man who ran off over three years ago and shattered Lauren’s heart into a zillion pieces.

It looks like Lauren, but she’s no longer the carefree girl Kane once knew. And yet he can’t deny the awareness that heats his blood at the sight of her. But when the death threats begin, Kane realizes that the killer has a new target… and it’s Lauren. Now he must protect the woman he’s always loved—and always hurt— from a vicious murderer. And when the sparks between them ignite, Lauren will have to make a choice between her life…or her heart.

Oh my gosh! Amazing! LOVE this book! The characters were very believable and captivating! The twists and turns were perfect and made this book even better. All I can say is do not start reading this book if you have things to do, once you start reading it, you will not want to put it down!

Fall Away by Zoe York

Fall Away by Zoe York

Navy SEAL Trick Novak knows he needs to find a better cure for his insomnia, but a warm body and a pretty smile worked just fine until he met Gaby Ellis—his latest conquest’s roommate. Now he’s not sleeping, and he’s definitely not getting laid, but that just means he’s got more time to plot ways to win over the beautiful and stubborn kindergarten teacher.

This story was very fun to read. The story line was fun and the characters were hilarious and exciting. I loved watching them grow and develop. While this was not one of the best books I have read, it was entertaining.

Penthouse Prince by Virginia Nelson

Penthouse Prince by  Virginia Nelson

Single mom Jeanie Long was trying to save her butt at work by reporting her manager to the company owner. Instead, she finds herself greeted warmly by gorgeous company CEO Camden James...and introduced to his father as his fiancée. Now she's been hired—complete with a hefty pay raise—to be the fake fiancée of the infamous “Penthouse Prince.”

Camden doesn't believe in love. He believes in mutually beneficial business arrangements. With his real fiancée off cheating on him, Camden needs someone to help him prove to his father that he's definitely ready to marry. Yet Jeanie's combination of beauty and bluntness act like an aphrodisiac, and their “for the press” kisses look incredibly real. So real that Jeanie and Camden are either really convincing actors...or they've fallen for their own charade.

This book was amazing! I loved it! I have not laughed so hard while reading a book in a long time. Jeanie was absolutely hilarious and Camden was.....well, I enjoyed him. LOL. There was never a dull moment in this book and I really appreciated that!

This book was fantastic! I was hooked from the first chapter and could not put this book down! I could not wait to see what was coming on the next page and was desperate to get to it. I enjoyed the way it was written. The author gave you a tidbit to get your curiosity going and then makes you wait for the details. All in all, this book was amazing! I will have to go and read the rest of them now!

TAG by Shari J. Ryan

 TAG  by Shari J. Ryan

What if your family had a big secret . . . a life changing secret. My dad, the bigwig CIA agent, was always on the run, whether he was being chased or doing the chasing. I missed him. Then my mom passed away, and my sister was murdered. I turned my solitude to strength because the alternative was too bleak.

But my luck seemed to turn: I met Tango. And while I want him more than I’ve ever wanted anything in my twenty-two years, danger lurks around every corner and I simply can’t take the chance of it finding me. But his tattoos, his smell, his darkness, and his body— that marine has taken over my every thought. But, what if he too isn’t what I think? A ticking time bomb isn’t going to leave me much time to waver. Even the bravest person can be in need of a miracle.

Before she was gone, my mom warned me to know everyone and trust no one. But what was I supposed to do when I found out I am the one not to be trusted? Turns out, I was always the bait in this conspiracy.

This book was very fun to read. There were shocking secrets, twists and turns and some very hot moments. I was addicted to this book and had a very hard time putting it down. Every time I picked up this book there was a twist that blew me away. I loved that I did not see these things coming. The writing was great, the story line was fun. All in all, this was a great read!
