The Surrender Series by Priscilla West

Forbidden Surrender

The minute I saw Vincent Sorenson, I knew he was trouble. Billionaire. Bad boy. And dangerously sexy. He was everything I craved, and nothing I needed.

Unfortunately, I couldn’t just avoid him. The higher ups at my company decided they needed his business, and I was on the team to bring him in. Vincent Sorenson didn’t seem as interested in business as he was in me, but I knew that was a door better left unopened. If I got involved with him, it would only unearth the pain I spent years trying to bury.

I thought I had it under control, but I seriously underestimated Vincent’s seductive charm and silver-tongue. I would soon find out how delicious it would feel to let myself fall into this forbidden surrender.

Secret Surrender
When a trip to Vincent's exclusive private island revealed the real Vincent underneath the layers of suave nonchalance, I thought we were close to the start of something special.
Just when things were looking up for us, I would discover the one secret that Vincent never intended for me to find.

Beautiful Surrender
No one is who they seem to be.
I let Vincent into my heart because he seemed so different from everyone in my conservative world of wealth management. I thought we shared something special, but Vincent has been playing me this entire time.
As our relationship reaches a crisis point, a man from my past returns looking for a second chance. Is my ex really looking for redemption or is his goal something more sinister?

I try my best to hold it all together, until I discover a revelation that will change everything.

Review of all three

I LOVED them. They were fantastic! I did not want them to end! I loved the way Vincent was protective and firm but also fun and romantic. He took care of Kristen no matter what. Yes he could be seen as over protective but that was part of his charm. I thought this was a great and fun read. They were written well, the covers are catchy and the story line is fun.

All three stories are very short and you will want to have all of them when you sit down to read but trust me, it will be worth it!

Hot Toy by Jennifer Crusie

Hot Toy by Jennifer Crusie

Mayhem ensues under the mistletoe as a determined shopper grabs the very last hot toy action figure off the shelf, only to find herself plunged into the middle of a real-life spy game and in the arms of a sexy secret agent...

Jennifer Cruisie is one of my favorite authors so I was excited to have the chance to review this book. The title was right on and perfect for the story. I found that this book followed a certain Christmas movie that I will not name here but it did spin off the movie a little. I was slightly disappointed and felt that this book was not as good as most of her others but all in all, I thought this was a great short story to read on a cold winter day!

The Wedding Audition Runaway Brides by Catherine Mann, Joanne Rock

The Wedding Audition Runaway Brides by Catherine Mann, Joanne Rock

The tabloids call her the Hit and Run Bride after reality show star Annamae Jessup walked out on Atlanta’s favorite baseball player on cable television. Eager to escape her notoriety, Annamae takes a road trip to find the grandmother she’s never met and winds up discovering a whole lot more than a band of back woods relatives. There’s no escape from reality TV, even in Beulah, Alabama, population 3000.

The last thing Wynn Rafferty needs in his new life is a spoiled television princess who can’t even know his real name. He’s in temporary witness protection as an apple farmer after his undercover work put his life in danger. He needs to lay low until the heat dies down from his last case— even if he sucks at growing apples as badly as he sucks at relationships. But Annamae turns his new town into a media circus, unwittingly threatening the lives of him, her and most of Beulah. Wynn is an expert at keeping the world at arm’s length, but when it comes to Annamae, the only way he can keep her safe is to keep her very, very close.

This was a great read! I loved how Annamae completely turned Wynn's life upside down. Poor guy didn't know what to do!!! While this book did not captivate me, I did find parts of it to be great. It was a fun, rainy day read!

My thoughts......

I have found a new author that I love! Lori Power of course! This book is amazing! I LOVE LOVE LOVE the way these two characters stumble across each other after so many years! The tension and suspense kept me intrigued from start to finish! The story line is fabulous and the title is perfect! I can not wait to read the next one!!!

The Bad Boy CEO by Sugar Jamison

The Bad Boy CEO by Sugar Jamison

Colt King has spent his whole life trying to prove he's not the trash his hometown of Destiny, Nevada, thought he and his brothers were. As soon as he was old enough he left town, vowing to make a name for himself and never looking back at the place that looked down on him. But that plan goes out the window when his ailing elderly aunt asks him to come home.

He begrudgingly returns to help the woman who raised him. But he's no longer the poor kid from the bad part of town. He's the ruler of a custom car empire and a financial genius. He arrives expecting a boring stay, but when he walks into his childhood home to find a woman in nothing but her underwear pointing a shotgun at his face, he knows his trip home will be a memorable one. With his aunt sick and forcing him to help her restore her fledgling hair salon, he has more than enough on his plate. Colt has no idea that her sexy tenant, Zanna, is going to be the cause of his many sleepless nights.

Zanna Jacobs came to the ghost town of Destiny to stay out of trouble and stay the hell away from men. She's got a serious thing for bad boys that's she trying to kick, and when she lays her eyes on the brutishly handsome Colt, she knows he's got bad news written all over him. He's not the typical thug she goes for: He's too clean cut, too good looking, and too cold--and when he comes to take over her salon, she's not going to take it. Zanna decides to show him exactly who the boss is. Colt is used to people following his orders, and when Zanna challenges his every word he finds her infuriating and incredibly sexy. He can't keep his hands off her...and knows that once he returns to Las Vegas, all bets are off...

Once again, Sugar Jamison does a great job! This book has drama, love, frustration, and a hot bad boy, what more could you want? I really enjoyed the story line this time. We all have parts of our past that we do not like but most of us hide or run from it. Colt was forced to face his past in order to have a better future with Zanna. Add in a meddling old lady and this is a great read!!!

FANTASTIC!!! This book was amazing from start to finish! The characters were captivating, the story line was catchy and the writing was amazing. As I read this book, I was taken out of my real life and inserted into this book. I felt like everything was really happening all around me. There was romance, mystery and suspense, it was very well rounded.

After reading this book, I am now desperate to get my hands on the next one (which does not come out until next year-agh). I will have to settle for going back and reading the first two while I wait on the next one to get released.

I highly recommend this book to anyone who likes to branch outside the typical romance book and get a little darker.

Risk It by Jennifer Chance

Risk It by Jennifer Chance

As dominating in business as he is in bed, Rand Sterling Winston, IV, always gets what he wants. And even before he realizes that she’s scammed him into paying triple the cost for her friend’s painting, he wants Dani Michaels. To catch her alone, Rand demands she personally deliver his purchase. The attraction between them is immediate and electric, and he knows she feels it, too. So when the part-time petty thief rebuffs his advances, he gives her a choice: a night in jail or an evening with him.

Despite her checkered past, Dani has never met someone like Rand: brooding, intense, and oh-so tempting. Only a man with a broken soul could make losing control feel this dangerous. Still, when Rand proposes a no-strings, no-holds-barred affair, Dani’s more than a little intrigued. It’ll be the trickiest con she's ever run and a chance to indulge her steamiest fantasies—nothing more. But as their encounters grow increasingly intimate, Dani uncovers a vulnerable side to Rand’s steely exterior . . . and opens her heart to the ultimate risk.

This book was great! I did not want to put it down! There were twists and turns, ups and downs, comedy and romance. A great, well rounded package. I love Dani and love Rand even more! The relationship they have is great! I found myself completely absorbed in this book from beginning to end.

Kneel, Mr. President by Lauren Gallagher

Kneel, Mr. President by Lauren Gallagher

Secret Service agent Kent Sinclair, head of POTUS security, thought himself prepared for every contingency. Until the First Lady—a woman who barely tolerates his presence—approaches him with a request that startles the hell out of him.

Carlene Broderick is frightened. With the weight of the country and impending war on his shoulders, her husband, James, is buckling under the strain. The key to helping him cope is the name he calls out in his sleep—and it’s not hers. It belongs to his fellow ex-SEAL team buddy. His ex-lover. Kent.

Without hesitation, Kent plunges into treacherous emotional territory, only to realize it’s not really him that James needs. The Commander in Chief needs to give up complete control in the bedroom.

To relieve that much pressure, Kent and Carlene must work together and declare a truce that rapidly heats up into something more. Something that leaves James caught deep in forbidden territory—torn between his beloved wife and the man he’s never stopped loving.

This book was not quite what I expected. It was fun and entertaining but I was expecting a little more adventure. The characters were good, but nothing spectacular. All in all it was a good read for a rainy day but nothing too intriguing.

I Choose You by Charles A. Bush

I Choose You by Charles A. Bush

Emily Robertson is fully content with her life. She was valedictorian of her Yale undergrad class, is ranked top of her Yale Medical School class, and unlike her promiscuous roommate, she would rather spend her free nights reading Jane Austen than out partying. Undeniably, the lifelong promise that she made to her dying mother to become a doctor, is firmly in her grasp and she is focused not to let anything or anyone deter her from fulfilling it. That is, until the last day of her second year of medical school, when her friends surprise her with a summer vacation to England. While in England, she breaks one of her many sacred rules and falls for, Jude, a professional footballer with an appetite for wild parties and beautiful women. Over the course of their improbable summer romance, Jude introduces Emily to a new world of excitement and spontaneity, leaving her to question the secluded life she had always known, while Emily shows Jude the depths of the human heart and all the joy it can bring. However, once the summer ends, their love is tested by distance, social class, and the sacrifices needed to make enduring love blossom. And when fate intervenes by sending their lives spiraling on separate paths, will a memorable summer romance years ago be enough to bring them back together?

Looking for a sweet romance to read? Tired of all the "romance books" that are full of  "sex scenes" and no real story? This book is perfect for you. Seeing Emily and Jude fall in love is very sweet. Watching them figure out how to sacrifice and make a long distance relationship work is very refreshing. There were several phrases that were used that I did not understand and that slowed me down a bit, but other than that, I really enjoyed this book. The surprise ending is unheard of and really threw me for a loop but I will not spoil anything here. I hope you all enjoy this book as well!!!

Force of Attraction by D. D. Ayres

Force of Attraction by D. D. Ayres

A seasoned K-9 officer with the police in Maryland, Cole Jamison has left her old life behind her. With a new home and a new partner--a protective canine named Hugo--Cole is ready for fresh challenges. A crucial position on an important drug task force is exactly what she wants…until she discovers her gorgeous, infuriating ex-husband will be the DEA agent in charge.

Agent Scott Lucca may be a pro when it comes to undercover assignments, but this job is daunting even for him. Posing as a happy couple on the dog competition circuit means he and Cole need to get a lot closer than they've been in years. Playing a live-in couple should seem like a walk in the park compared to tracking a brutal criminal, but suddenly nothing could be more dangerous than the passionate fire they've rekindled

This book was slightly different from the normal romance. There was the typical lost lover come back and the old fights and make up but here there was a little more excitement. Being thrown into this undercover assignment as a couple was great and I enjoyed it alot.

As far as the mystery portion, I was able to figure out "who did it" really early in the book. That is my only complaint. I felt like it was really obvious and I was hopeful that there would be a twist. There was not.

Game On by Gabra Zackman

Game On by Gabra Zackman

Part caper, part romantic comedy, this hilariously entertaining book in the Bod Squad series features a sassy and sexy undercover operative, Susannah “Legs” Carter, and her Ocean’s Eleven–style team of private investigators.

From Washington, DC, to Paris, Legs is tailing Charles Oakley Palmer III, a white-collar criminal she’s determined to bring to justice. But will romance or betrayal blossom along the way? Find out in the first in a sizzling new series about a team of highly skilled investigators who go undercover to catch criminals—while juggling romance, world travel, and danger around every corner.

This book was very exciting and funny. I laughed so hard from start to finish. "legs" was a great character who kept finding herself in sticky situations. The story line was great, the ending was fantastic and there was never a dull moment.

SEAL's Desire by Elle James

SEAL's Desire by Elle James

Navy SEAL Remy LaDue wants Mitchell Sanders, but hasn't made a move since he slept with her the night of his buddy, her former boyfriend's funeral. A year later, his plan to be her Valentine date runs amuck when he finds her undercover as a stripper at a local club.
NCIS agent Mitchell Sanders never wanted to settle, dedicated to her job and justice is finally ready to commit to the SEAL she accidentally fell in love with. When her friend, a female navy officer, goes missing she puts her love life on hold and goes undercover to find her friend, only to discover her SEAL is back in town and threatening to blow her cover.
Remy and Mitchell join forces to find her friend and uncover a human trafficking organization in the darkest heart of Virginia Beach while their attraction for each other burns hotter than the sun.

I found this book to be fun and entertaining. It has a good story that is based on things that REALLY do happen in this world. Everyone needs to read stories like this and become aware of their surroundings. I felt like it was very honest and true but it was toned down ALOT. The real life situations are much more harsh than what was portrayed in this book and I do wish it would have been a little more realistic. But all in all, it was a good read. I enjoyed the comedy mixed throughout and the sparks between Remy and Mitchell.

Chain of Command by Helen Kay Dimon

He’s one more in a long line of people who wants the land she inherited, and suddenly he’s everywhere she goes. Hailey can’t get the broad-shouldered, dirty-talking, dead-serious man out of her head. But Sawyer has a secret he’s convinced will have Hailey hating him forever, and Hailey’s not willing to risk loving anyone she could lose.

This book is not holding my attention. I really want it to be good but I am having a hard time getting into it. The characters are not really interesting, the story is just dragging in my opinion. I would love to know what you think though, so please leave a comment!

Time Served by Julianna Keyes

Time Served by Julianna Keyes

I’ve never forgotten how it felt to follow Dean—dangerous, daring, determined—away from the crowd and climb into his beat-up old Trans Am. I was sixteen and gloriously alive for the first time. When I felt his hand cover my leg and move upward, it was over. I was his. Forever.

Until I left. Him, my mom, and the trailer park. Without so much as a goodbye.

Now Dean’s back, crashing uninvited into my carefully cultivated, neat little lawyerly life. Eight years behind bars have turned him rougher and bigger—and more sexually demanding than any man I’ve ever met. I can’t deny him anything…and that just might end up costing me everything.

This book was not one of my favorites although I do not know why. Parts of it were good, parts of it were not. I was not really thrilled with the characters, nothing was believable and I was not lost in this book. All in all, I was pretty disappointed with it, but it was not horrible.

Just when Jake thinks he's finally warmed Holly's heart, Spence strikes. Now it's up to Jake to save Holly's baby and bring their fledgling family back together.

I thought this book was adorable. Very sweet and lovey. Very much a romance. There was some mystery and suspense which helped round out this book and make it amazing. I loved all of the characters and the story.

This book is perfect for a rainy or snowy day. I just snuggled up on the couch with a cup of hot chocolate and enjoyed this read.

This book was fantastic! I was hooked from the first chapter and could not put this book down! I could not wait to see what was coming on the next page and was desperate to get to it. I enjoyed the way it was written. The author gave you a tidbit to get your curiosity going and then makes you wait for the details. All in all, this book was amazing! I will have to go and read the rest of them now!

TAG by Shari J. Ryan

 TAG  by Shari J. Ryan

What if your family had a big secret . . . a life changing secret. My dad, the bigwig CIA agent, was always on the run, whether he was being chased or doing the chasing. I missed him. Then my mom passed away, and my sister was murdered. I turned my solitude to strength because the alternative was too bleak.

But my luck seemed to turn: I met Tango. And while I want him more than I’ve ever wanted anything in my twenty-two years, danger lurks around every corner and I simply can’t take the chance of it finding me. But his tattoos, his smell, his darkness, and his body— that marine has taken over my every thought. But, what if he too isn’t what I think? A ticking time bomb isn’t going to leave me much time to waver. Even the bravest person can be in need of a miracle.

Before she was gone, my mom warned me to know everyone and trust no one. But what was I supposed to do when I found out I am the one not to be trusted? Turns out, I was always the bait in this conspiracy.

This book was very fun to read. There were shocking secrets, twists and turns and some very hot moments. I was addicted to this book and had a very hard time putting it down. Every time I picked up this book there was a twist that blew me away. I loved that I did not see these things coming. The writing was great, the story line was fun. All in all, this was a great read!

Though his instincts tell him that that the beautiful model is no criminal, he can't help but wonder how much she knew about her dead husband's business dealings.

Then a diamond necklace with ties to the blackmailer is stolen from the Kingsbury mansion, and Jessica begins receiving death threats. She must decide whether she can trust the handsome agent with her secrets and her life, not to mention her heart.

This was a good book. I enjoyed the relationship between Jessica and Noah all the way through. There was never really a dull moment between the two! I thought the story was fun and a little different. I think it could have had more action, but it was still a good read.

Barbecue and Bad News by Nancy Naigle

Barbecue and Bad News by Nancy Naigle

Savannah Dey politely agreed to attend her ex-husband’s wedding, but she’d be grateful for any reason to get out of it…which is why the speeding ticket from the handsome sheriff of Adams Grove is both a surprise and a reprieve. With one quick call to her editor, the aspiring columnist finds herself with a new assignment and the perfect excuse to get closer to the man who pulled her over. He’s done making bad choices, and this beautiful city gal is sure to leave Adams Grove once she finishes her story. By the time she’s stirred up a hornet’s nest, he’s already falling for her. Will trouble bind them together, or will her secrets tear them apart?

This book was FANTASTIC!!! I absolutely loved every minute of it. The story line is great. Who would not love stopping in a small town and falling in love with the sheriff, town and all the people?

From start to finish, I was laughing, crying and yelling! I felt every emotion from every character. Nancy Naigle really knows how to write in a way that brings the reader into the story!

The cover was not exciting in my opinion. I almost did not read this book because of the cover, but I decided to read it anyway and boy was I happy that I did!!

SEAL's Honor by Elle James

SEAL's Honor by Elle James

SEAL Reed Tucker doesn’t believe in commitment, until he tangles the sheets with one hot pilot, Delaney O’Connell. His phobia against commitment is challenged when his best friend asks Delaney to marry him first.

As a helicopter pilot for the 160th Night Stalkers, Delaney knows the risks of loving a SEAL. When her lover's friend loses an arm in battle, she can’t refuse his marriage proposal when he's already lost so much. In love with one man, pledged to marry another, she’s torn.
Tuck and Delaney must come to grips with the happiness they owe themselves and the happiness of their friend who has lost so much.

Well, this book was certainly  different. Generally there is a man and woman who are the focal point of the book. This book had two men after the same woman. There was a little adventure and a little romance but nothing overly spectacular. This would be a good rainy/snowy day read when you just want to get away from your life.

Held Against You by Season Vining

Held Against You  by Season Vining

As they drive across the country together, neither of them can deny the spark of attraction between them. Will their journey force these two passionate opposites together…or will their dangerous secrets be too much to bear?

This was an excellent book. I really enjoyed this book. The majority of this book takes place in a car but it is so well written that it never got boring. I wish there had been a little more action in the end but other than that, I found it very fun and entertaining.

I'll Show You Mine by Lauren Gallagher

I'll Show You Mine by Lauren Gallagher

When Alyssa Warren meets Shane McNeill at a wedding, sparks fly. Despite a litany of mistakes no one will let her forget, she can’t resist indulging in one hot night…one that leaves her hungry for more.

Alyssa’s not ready to let her past scare Shane off, though, so she proposes a casual arrangement—live in the moment, no discussing ancient history.

Shane’s on board with that. No-strings, kinky sex with a beautiful woman who has no interest in his past—and with a libido that matches his own? Hell yeah. If she knew about the monster mistakes he’s made, she’d run for the hills, so he’s all for enjoying this wild ride for as long as it lasts.

As they delve deeper into each other’s kinks, though, it’s only a matter of time before trust and intimacy start entangling their hearts. But before a future can take shape, they’ll have to come clean…and hope their confessions don’t drive them apart.

This book is a little different from my usual books. There is more sex than story in this book. Don't get me wrong, it is very well written and is a good book but I would have liked to have more story to it.The characters were good and all in all, it was a fun read.

Snowbound in Montana by C.J. Carmichael

Snowbound in Montana by C.J. Carmichael

When Eliza Bramble signs up for a Christmas mountain ski adventure with sexy mountain guide Marshal McKenzie, she’s looking to escape the attention of a two-timing charmer and find some inner peace. Instead, a blizzard traps her in a remote mountain hideaway with Marshall and two other families in need of their own Christmas miracles.

Christmas is looking like a write-off, until Marshall suggests they make the best of what they have, and work together. The avid outdoorsman has a special touch with people…and with Eliza in particular. Soon she realizes Marshall isn’t just fixing Christmas — but her broken heart, too.

Marshall has stolen my heart! I am in love with him and would marry him in a heartbeat! This story is very heartwarming! The way it was written is different. The majority of this book, they are stuck in or around a ski lodge and yet, it was still exciting. That tells me alot.

Too Hot to Handle by Katie Rose

Too Hot to Handle by Katie Rose

Nikki Case is no fan of baseball. Her ex gambled away a fortune on the sport, and now her PR firm has tasked her with cleaning up the league’s most notorious bad boys. The New Jersey Sonics are known for wild womanizing and booze-fueled brawls, so Nikki expects the worst. Her first stop in the battle to win hearts and minds is star hitter Jake Baldwin—a legendary ladies man so smokin’ he threatens to melt her tough-girl armor.

Although his teammates prank her without mercy, Jake admires the way Nikki gives as good as she gets. She may be the queen of frost, but there’s kindling beneath those sultry curves—and he’s just the man to ignite it. But when a PR nightmare lands the Sonics in headlines across the country, Nikki is ready to walk. Only then does Jake realize how important she is to the Sonics’ success—and that winning the love of a good woman is no game.

This book is great! Nikki is a great, take charge character that I can look up to. Jake is a typical jock. I am not generally a fan of sports books but this one was cute and I did enjoy reading it. I will be reading it again!

Playing Santa by H.Y. Hanna

Playing Santa by H.Y. Hanna

When she rescues a litter of abandoned puppies and meets a handsome veterinarian who captures her heart, she finds herself tempted to give up everything for a chance at love.

The last thing billionaire Dr Nick Forrester expected when helping out at the animal hospital was to meet this pretty American. He knows that they belong together - but with malicious gossip and culture clash coming between them, can he convince Holly that all he wants for Christmas is her?

This book was very cute. Nothing like animals to bring two people together! This book has romance and comedy, the puurfect mix! There is a spider scene in this book that is beyond hilarious and is very memorable! It creeped me out, but I will always remember it, so that says alot for this book!

Dr. Who: The Blood Cell

An asteroid in the furthest reaches of space - the most secure prison for the most dangerous of criminals. The Governor is responsible for the worst fraudsters and the cruellest murderers. So he's certainly not impressed by the arrival of the man they're calling the most dangerous criminal in the quadrant. Or, as he prefers to be known, the Doctor.

What does impress the Governor is the way the new prisoner immediately sets about trying to escape. And keeps trying. Finally, he sends for the Doctor and asks him why? But the answer surprises even the Governor. And then there's the threat - unless the Governor listens to the Doctor, a lot of people will die.

Who is the Doctor and what's he really doing here? Why does he want to help the Governor? And who is the young woman who comes every day to visit him, only to be turned away by the guards?

When the killing finally starts, the Governor begins to get his answers...
My brother is a huge Dr. Who fan so I wanted to read this book and see if it was something I could get into. When I started reading this book it caught my attention. I was  hooked and could not put it down. As  the book progressed, there was alot of violence and death. About halfway through,  I got bored with it. If you are already a Dr. fan, you may love this book but for me, I have no desire to read another one, or watch the show after reading this book.

Toying With His Affections by Laura K. Curtis

Toying With His Affections by Laura K. Curtis

Good girl gone bad... Evie Bell couldn't wait to get out of the small town that had labeled her a goodie two-shoes. She dreamed of showing her more daring side. Selling sex toys might not have been the career she envisioned when she left Fairview, TN, to become a Las Vegas showgirl, but she's proud of her hard-earned success. Now, forced to return to the town she'd hoped never to see again to care for her ailing aunt she will need every bit of that pride to get along with those who disapprove of her way of life.

Bad boy gone good... Griffin Barstow was given a choice at eighteen: jail or the military. He chose the military. Now he's come home to Fairview to run for sheriff. But small towns have long memories and the last thing he needs while trying to convince voters he's turned his life around is an attraction to a completely inappropriate woman. Evie would like to avoid Griffin entirely. Her aunt, however, is in financial as well as medical trouble, and Evie must take on the job of making her aunt's shop more profitable the only way she knows how-by adding a touch of sex appeal. And when vandals make their disapproval of her changes evident, she needs the law on her side. When sparks begin to fly, both will have to decide whether a future together is possible given the issues of the past.

This book is fantastic! I love the story line here and the characters are a hoot! Just thinking about selling toys to the people in my life makes me laugh, I could not imagine being in Evie's shoes. The sheriff definitely has his hands full and that makes this story even funnier! I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!

Mistletoe on Main Street by Olivia Miles

Mistletoe on Main Street by Olivia Miles

Briar Creek's quaint shop windows, cozy homes nestled in snow, and neighborly residents are what Christmas dreams are made of--for everyone except Grace Madison. She left her hometown years ago to pursue a writing career. But when her father's death leaves his bookstore empty, Grace must return to face why she fled Vermont in the first place: Luke Hastings, who still heats her up like a shot of smoky whiskey on a cold winter's night.

Grace is back, and Luke is worried. How much has she changed as a bestselling author in the big city? What memories will she stir up? And was the choice he made five years ago the biggest mistake of his life?

Now, with their past, present, and future rocking around the Christmas tree, it's time for Grace and Luke to face the music . . . and the mistletoe.

This book is very sweet. A typical lovey dovey Christmas type of book. There is nothing spectacular but it is a great read. Grab some hot chocolate, a fuzzy blanket and this book and snuggle down, it will be worth it!

Want It by Jennifer Chance

Want It by Jennifer Chance

For Erin Connelly, being a good girl isn’t such a bad thing. She’s working her dream job at a Boston art gallery and staying out of trouble, which is more than she can say for her deadbeat mom. Unfortunately, her mother’s latest misadventure lands her in the clutches of a Mexican drug lord. Zander James is no gentleman—and no officer, either, thanks to Erin. Four years ago, she made a call that terminated his highest aspirations . . . and their relationship. He’s never forgiven her, but when he learns that Erin’s embarking on a half-baked rescue mission, he sure as hell can’t let her go alone. Now, with a treacherous enemy lying in wait, the electrifying tension between them may just be Zander’s undoing. Because while he may be able to keep Erin alive, he can’t promise to keep his hands off her.

First of all.....Did you see the cover? Whew! Yummy! Lets be real, that is what made me pick up this book in the first place. Did I WANT IT? Heck yeah! GREAT title and picture! Together, they did the job very well.

This book was hot, sexy and smoldering. I enjoyed the way Erin and Zander worked together and got along. I felt like I was there with them. I will be reading this again soon!

Worth the Fall by Caitie Quinn

Worth the Fall by Caitie Quinn

Her idea of success never involved losing her job, man, and apartment in 24-hours. Now, with nowhere to go and no way to pay for it anyway, Kasey decides it’s time for a fresh start, which means a new apartment, a new career, and…no men.

But as a magnet for ridiculousness and absurd brushes with the law, her start goes from fresh to stale in record time. It doesn’t help that Mr. Wrong keeps showing up during her adventures gone awry and taking over. Now, as Kasey plans her way to independence she has to decide if the only path to success is going it alone...or if maybe a partner in crime can make the journey sweeter.

This book was absolutely hilarious. I have not laughed that hard while reading in a really long time. Kasey is a real hoot, always in the wrong place at the wrong time and of course getting caught.

The only problem I had was that the end was a big let down. It could have had more detail.... more excitement but it was dull and rushed. Other than that, the book was great!

Against the Sky by Kat Martin

Against the Sky by Kat Martin

For detective Nick Brodie, that means keeping the perps off the streets of Anchorage 24/7. Nick has never backed down from danger, but after the horrors he's seen, he's definitely in need of a break.

Samantha Hollis never thought she'd meet anyone like Nick, especially in a place like Las Vegas. But after one reckless, passionate night, she discovers the charismatic stranger is everything she wants in a man. But can he ever be anything more than a one-night stand?

When Nick invites her to Alaska, Samantha decides to find out, never guessing the depths she'll discover in him or the tangle of murder, kidnapping, and danger about to engulf them both.

This book was amazing. The characters were believable and the story line was very catchy. There was never a moment that I wanted to put this book down. I was very into it from the first page all the way through.

The mystery was a good one and kept me guessing. There were some very hard to read parts that brought alot of emotions but the comedy soon came back.

She's seen first-hand how transitory love can be after watching her mother fall in and out of marriage. Derek Tilden hammered home that truth when he joined the Navy to become a SEAL--he was the boy who couldn't wait to see the world and she was the girl ready to plant deep roots. Now he's back and asking her to marry him one last time...

UNDER THE RADAR (SEAL EXtreme Team III) by KIMBERLEY TROUTTE. SEAL pilot, Ty Whitehorse, is shot down in the Arctic and must escape through hostile territory. But when the mother of all blizzards attacks, he holes up in a hunter's cabin with Holly Colton, a sexy lady musher with a deady secret. Ty isn't the only one laying low under the radar. They're both in enemy crosshairs. Staying together is dangerous. Separating? Impossible.

He's got his reasons, and they all make sense until he falls for his neighbor and Cassie Bronson makes him want things he has not wanted in a long time.

OMG!!! A boxed set of Navy SEALS. How could this go wrong? I was in heaven! I was drooling! I was head over heels in love with every one of them! Every one of these books were amazing. They were all slightly different but equally fantastic. I was trying to decide which one I liked the most and could not even narrow it down to the top three! That should show you how amazing they all are!

I am so excited to own this set as I will definitely read them all several more times. I recommend this set to anyone who likes romance.
