Eleven On Top

Eleven on Top by Janet Evanovich is phenomenal. Lula gets into trouble and needs Stephanie to bail her out,  more cars destroyed, Ranger, Morelli and cuffs. Need I say more?

This book had me on the edge of my seat. I found myself giggling from the first page through the last page. I could not put it down. I had to read the whole book in one sitting!!!!

Stephanie decides that she wants to get a safer job. The job hunt is entertaining as she realizes she is not good at anything. Lula steps into Stephanie's shoes and becomes a bounty hunter. Words can not describe how funny this is, you simply HAVE to read it and find your own words. Feel free to share them!

Ten Big Ones

Stephanie finds out where Ranger lives, goes there and STAYS there! Yum!

In Ten Big Ones by Janet Evanovich, we get to finally find out how Ranger lives. I was not really surprised with any of it. It all seemed to fit his character and my expectations. Personally, I thought Janet Evanovich did an amazing job describing his apartment and the building. I was not left with questions, I felt like every piece was explained in detail. I am not going to go into the details in case any of you have not read it yet.

I also find myself amused with how Lula has slowly pushed herself into a position as Stephanie's sidekick. It has been a slow and funny process that never disappoints.

Bedtime Bible and Devotional

As I was tucking my son in tonight and reading him his stories, I decided to share his Bible with you all. This is a GREAT Bible for my five year old son and I am so glad I found it. There are more that 200 Bible stories and 50 devotionals in this book. Bible Stories retold by Gwen Ellis and Illustrated by Steve Smallman And Jeffrey Ebbler.

Here is what I like, the stories are broken up. What does that mean? For example The Story of Isaac is told over several pages with a title on each page almost like a chapter book. So I can read one little piece on the nights we simply do not have time(two pages side by side) or I can read the whole story (several pages) at one time. I am not having to stop in the middle of a page like I used to! I LOVE that. Plus with it being so short (and to the point, I might add), he is able to read it without getting overwhelmed.

My 5 year olds review-"I love my Bible and it talks about God and Jesus and I like the really cool pictures!"

To The Nines

To The Nines by Janet Evanovich did not disappoint.

Lula, Connie and Stephanie are off to Vegas to save a dog! Yes, I said dog, as in a four legged, hairy pet! They work together well but can they keep Stephanie safe once again????

Ranger keeps sending his men to help and protect Stephanie but one by one, they are falling out of commission in some of the funniest ways!

One of my favorite things about this series has been the cars. Stephanie can not keep a car. They get stolen, blown up, crushed, ect. To me, this is hilarious. The only car that lasts is the powder blue Cadillac.

What is your favorite part of the series so far? Can you narrow down a favorite?

Hard Eight

Whew!!! Is there any other word to describe Janet Evanovich's Hard Eight?

A mother takes her child and runs! Is there a real reason for their disappearance or is she just keeping her child to herself? I am not going to tell you, you will have to read it for yourself!!! But I WILL tell you that it is worth the read!

Lula's character really comes to life in this book and she is extremely funny and outgoing. No matter what she is doing, she makes me laugh. Whether she is being shot at, eating, running or just riding in the car, there is never a dull moment.

Stephanie is torn between Ranger and Morelli (who wouldn't be) and both are fighting to protect her and keep her safe.

Who is your favorite character, Lula or Stephanie?

Seven Up

Seven Up by Janet Evanovich is FULL of action. From kidnappings to death threats and the biggest concern of all........... Ranger makes a killer deal with Stephanie........

I personally love that Stephanie is NOT perfect. She does not look perfect, act perfect or live perfect. She is human just like the rest of us. I can really relate to how crappy her life can be at times.

Things in this book get steamy between Ranger and Stephanie and have kept me on the edge of my seat. The last page is a huge cliff hanger.... in fact, I am not sure why I am sitting here typing. I am dying to read the next book and see what happened so I am outta here!!!!!

Don't Let The Pigeon Drive The Bus

This book is written by Mo Willems

I LOVE this children's book. The illustrations are amazing, the story line is great! I would recommend this to anyone. When I read it to my class or my son, I am easily able to animate it. I can throw a fit just like the pigeon and whine like him and it makes the kids laugh hard. They LOVE yelling "NO" every time the pigeon asks to drive the bus.

I love the way I can easily expand on the lesson of this book. I can read it quickly or I can drag it out, asking questions about what the pigeon could have or should have done.

Review from my five year old son- "This book is funny. The pigeon wants to drive the bus but I keep telling him no!"
