Dreamy Drums, Trouble in Paradise
Dreamy Drums, Trouble in Paradise by JZ Bingham, Illustrated by Curt Walstead
"Dreamy Drums, Trouble In Paradise is Book 1 in the debut Salty Splashes Collection™ of illustrated fiction for children. Dreamy Drums introduces an unconventional cartoon cast featuring Sammy, a spirited puppy who arrives via special delivery to his awaiting family and their quaint, sunny village by the sea. Sammy causes quite a stir as he tries to settle into his new neighborhood and learn to live by the rules. However, the rules make for more trouble as Sammy decides to break them on last time. A variety of cartoon character friends join Sammy for a day of surf and sun, but a sudden storm brings rain and more Trouble In Paradise!"
This book is super cute! With the sing song rhythm, excellent story line and amazing pictures, this book is an all around winner. My son and I loved it and I know my classes would love it too! I was able to expand the story by going into more details about what the puppy did wrong and what he COULD have or SHOULD have done and I really liked that!
I have to give another shout out to the illustrator here, I LOVE these pictures! AMAZING!!!!
Review from my five year old son- "I REALLY like this book! I like puppies AND kitties. My favorite part was the puppy riding with the stork!"
***This book was given to me by the author in exchange for an open and honest review***

Dear Libby Lynn,
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you and your son enjoyed Dreamy Drums. Lots of hard work went into all the Salty Splashes books! The gratification we get at Balcony 7 is happiness from children who read them, and importantly, their parents and teachers.
Sincerely,
JZ Bingham (author)
